NashGuard - OE:

Engineered Oxide Neutralisation for Controlled Surface Stabilisation

NashGuard NG-OE is a purpose-designed oxide elimination and surface stabilisation compound developed to chemically neutralise established corrosion while preserving the mechanical integrity of the underlying substrate and adjacent sealing components.

Unlike conventional rust converters that rely on aggressive acidic reactions (typically pH 1–3), NG-OE employs a near-neutral pH chemistry (pH ≈ 6). This formulation allows the system to:

Break down existing iron oxides through controlled reaction pathways

Convert unstable corrosion products into a stable, passivated layer

Avoid micro-etching, substrate thinning, or hydrogen embrittlement

Eliminate the risk of degradation to elastomeric seals, rubber gaskets, and polymeric components

This stability is critical in environments where excessive acidity could compromise wall thickness, flange sealing faces, or the compression integrity of gasket systems.

NG-OE is a low-viscosity, Hand applied liquid designed for full surface wetting and capillary penetration into oxide layers, enabling uniform corrosion neutralisation even on complex geometries, bolted assemblies, and inaccessible surfaces.

The passive conversion layer created by NG-OE forms a robust foundation for subsequent NashGuard protective systems, providing optimum substrate conditions without abrasive blasting, needle-gunning, or adherence to ISO 8501 surface preparation grades.

By eliminating the need for mechanical preparation, NG-OE:

Minimises risk of substrate over-profiling

Protects machined surfaces and toleranced components

Reduces labour time and operational disruption

Allows treatment in sensitive or live asset environments where abrasive preparation is impractical or prohibited

NG-OE is therefore a critical enabling component within the NashGuard system architecture, delivering controlled corrosion neutralisation, improved adhesion performance, and enhanced long-term coating durability — all while maintaining the structural, mechanical, and sealing integrity of high-value assets.

NashGuard NG250

is a hand-applied, EX-safe, removable elastomeric coating engineered to deliver full-surface protection for joints, flanges, and complex geometries.
Applied as a safe, non-sparking liquid, NG250 is suitable for hazardous and ATEX-classified environments where traditional coating systems cannot be deployed.

NG250 forms a continuous, flexible barrier that eliminates electrolytic pathways and prevents corrosion initiation and propagation. During curing, the coating shrinks tightly around the substrate, displacing trapped air and moisture to create a dense, skin-like encapsulation layer. This shrink-fit effect blocks capillary action and prevents electrolytes from reaching metal surfaces, ensuring long-term isolation from corrosive atmospheres.

The compound cures into a durable, rubberised membrane with proven resistance to acidic, saline, ammonia-rich, and H₂S environments. NG250 has surpassed all ASTM performance tests conducted, demonstrating exceptional durability, chemical resistance, adhesion stability, and protective capability under rigorous industry-standard conditions.

In real-world applications, NG250 has been deployed for more than 10 years with zero recorded failures, providing a decade of proven reliability across demanding industrial environments.

NG250 also provides a passive leak-detection function: if pressurised gas escapes beneath the coating, the elastomeric membrane inflates visibly, creating an immediate, non-destructive indication of a developing leak. This early-warning capability enhances operational safety by allowing corrective action long before a fault becomes critical.

Engineered for reliability, removability, and ease of maintenance, NG250 delivers a robust, re-applicable protection system designed to safeguard critical assets across power networks, oil and gas, utilities, marine, and heavy industrial sectors.
